Hi I’m Andy a game design student based in the Netherlands

I was born in Germany but have spent a fair share of my life in Asia. So far I’ve lived in Germany, Hong Kong, Vietnam and now the Netherlands.

I moved from Europe to Asia at a very young age and it completely changed my life. All the things I knew about the world were suddenly flipped on its side and I had to relearn everything from scratch. This included languages, cultures, norms, values and many more. When I first moved to Asia, I had a tough time adapting to my new surroundings as everything was so new and unfamiliar. However, it was during this time that I delved into the digital world more and explored the internet and different video games. This is where my passion for gaming and the online world started.

Through the internet and online video games, I was able to connect with others, learn a multitude of skills and explore different environments. From that moment onwards, I took an interest and was invested in technology and online video games. This allowed me to meet countless amazing people, gain knowledge in different areas and a fun way to stay connected to old classmates or friends who I wouldn’t have spoken to otherwise. Video games had a big positive impact on my life and for that reason, I wanted to study game design/ game development. Ultimately, I want to contribute to creating games that bring a smile to millions of people around the world. It doesn't matter what specific job I have in the end, I just want to be part of a team that can, through these games, inspire and bring happiness to someone in the world just like how video games have brought happiness to my life.
